EKENU · Privacy notice · updated 13 October 2026

Your information matters.

We keep the information needed to handle your enquiry, explain why it is used and limit access to case details.

Free Payment Position Check

The free assessment processes your answers in your browser. They are not submitted to EKENU as a case. We do not request bank credentials or identity documents through the free check.

Information you send to EKENU

If you email support, EKENU receives your contact details, message and any information you choose to include. We use it to answer your request, respond to complaints and keep a necessary correspondence record. Avoid sending sensitive documents through ordinary email.

Managed service in testing

Public paid intake is not open. A private testing system handles test-payment records, fictional case details and audit logs. A future live service would need relevant customer and business contact details, invoice information, written authority, case correspondence, payment confirmation and replies. We will explain any further collection before live intake opens.

Why we use data

We process support enquiries and requested services where necessary to take steps toward or fulfil a contract, to handle legitimate business correspondence where an appropriate lawful-interest assessment supports it, and to meet applicable legal obligations. We do not sell case data, use it for advertising profiles or send marketing messages without an appropriate basis.

Service providers and security

Cloudflare provides website delivery and backend hosting, Stripe is used for payment testing, Resend provides transactional email, and email services process support communications. The specific data shared depends on the service used. Access to private case records is restricted and stored case narratives in our staging workflow are encrypted. Any international data transfers and processor arrangements must be assessed before public paid intake launches.

Retention and deletion

We keep personal information only as needed for its purpose and applicable record-keeping obligations. In the current paid-case Sandbox, encrypted details of a rejected fictional intake are scheduled for erasure after 48 hours; a minimal payment and audit record remains. Live-case retention periods and any exceptions will be published before paid intake begins.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, or object to certain uses. Contact support@ekenu.com. You may also raise a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office. We assess requests in accordance with applicable UK data protection law.
