Simple terms. Clear expectations.
The £39 Managed Follow-up is designed to take the first professional payment enquiry off your hands.
The service
EKENU's proposed introductory service costs £39 once, payable in GBP, with no recurring subscription and no VAT added. For one accepted eligible case, the service includes an initial suitability and facts review, written authority, one human-reviewed professional email to an appropriate verified business contact, up to one further reviewed follow-up where suitable, and honest case-status updates about actual activity or replies. SMS, telephone negotiations, litigation, debt enforcement and unlimited follow-ups are not included.
Eligibility
The managed service is intended for unpaid business-to-business invoices and agreed self-employed or freelance work fees. Employment-related claims, personal consumer debts, consumer-credit agreements, court claims and matters requiring regulated legal representation are outside scope. EKENU may request evidence and decline unsuitable or unverifiable requests. If we decline before contacting anyone, the full £39 is refunded.
Authority and customer responsibilities
Customers must provide accurate information, have the right to instruct EKENU to make the agreed enquiry, and provide separate written authorisation. EKENU reviews the recipient address and proposed wording; entering an email address does not itself authorise contact. We will not make threats, impersonate a regulator or knowingly send inaccurate demands. Money owed goes directly to you; EKENU does not hold or collect the invoice value.
Timescales and outcomes
We aim to acknowledge a complete case within two working days after permitted commencement and make the first reviewed contact within three further working days after acceptance and written authority, where reasonably possible. An optional single follow-up may be appropriate around five working days later. These are targets, not guaranteed deadlines. If a matter is urgent, do not rely on EKENU to preserve a legal time limit. There is no guarantee of a response, agreement or payment.
Payment and starting work
Online checkout is not yet open to the public. When it opens, a customer must review the total price, eligibility, scope, cancellation terms and whether to request performance within the 14-day consumer cancellation window before being charged. Customers who do not expressly request an early start will not have work started during that period. The order confirmation and terms will be sent in a format the customer can keep.
Cancellation, refunds and complaints
Full £39 refund if you cancel before the first outgoing email or EKENU declines the case. Consumer customers ordinarily have 14 days to cancel an online service contract. After service has started, statutory rights and any properly requested early work determine whether a proportionate amount may be retained; there are no automatic blanket no-refund rules. See our full cancellation and refund policy and cancellation form. Complaints can be sent to support@ekenu.com, including if you believe the service was not supplied with reasonable care and skill. Your statutory rights are not restricted by these terms.
Privacy and correspondence
For information handling, see EKENU's privacy notice. Replies from recipients are only described as received when an actual reply is recorded. EKENU may pause a case where contact or authority is disputed. Service-related messages are not marketing subscriptions.
